I had put infinitys in my F250 and ran them with an alpine deck and pioneer elite amp. Sounded ok but the highs were WAYYYYY to high. Hurt my ears. I changed the infinitys out to Focals which I liked much better but still fatigued my ears after a while with the tinny sounding highs. I sold my truck and yanked out the stereo and the amp. Now I have the same stereo and amp reinstalled in my wifes 01' Civic EX coupe. I put these in the front doors and with some customization mounted the tweeters in the factory location. Holy Cow these are great speakers! the best I've heard. And certainly the best I've owned. We cruise around all day with the music playing and it's like an eargasm! Just a pure pleasure to listen to. I cant imagine it getting any better than these for any amount of money.The honda does have a decent sub in the trunk for the big bass notes. I highly recommend these. I plan on putting these in my Tahoe in the very near future!

alpines type r series of merechandise has always been top notch, ive used there subwoofers and now theyre speakers which are some of the best speakers I have ever heard. powered by my pdxf4 these easily beat anything pioneer, boston acoustics, kicker, infinity or any of those other jokers has to offer. theyre a tad expensive but with the right amp they are worth every penny

We installed them into my brothers 2007 Infiniti G35, two in front and two in the rear window panel. Connected to a Pioneer video deck with 50x4 watt output. The speakers sound really good and crisp, but lack bass (maybe if connected through an amp it would add more bass as they can handle about 110watt). But we didn't worry about it too much as we were planning to lower the bass on them anyway. As we were also installing Alpine 10" subs for that extra bass. Together with the subs these speakers sound better and clearer than anything I have installed previously (about 7 installations over the years). If my Cadillac didn't come with a complicated system already installed, I would have definitely installed this setup into it.
